Qin Ming: Actually, for me, if I have to use a label to describe it, I think the label of my new job should be "looking stupid", because I just entered the forensic profession, which doesn’t mean that I have a theoretical foundation before coming into contact with this profession after graduating from college. When I was in college, I began to use the winter and summer vacations to go to the public security bureau to follow the real forensic doctor as a trainee. When I participated in the autopsy of the first body, I was only 18 years old and just finished my freshman year, which can be said to be quite stupid.
I’m unlucky. Forensics in small cities sometimes meet their acquaintances at work, that is, the deceased is someone they know, so I’m unlucky. I just said that the first corpse involved in the autopsy was an acquaintance, a classmate in the same grade in primary school, which I also wrote in my first book, The Corpse Whisperer. When I saw it at that time, I could say that my whole body was numb and my brain was blank. The teacher said, can you persist? If you can’t insist, you can go back. Qin Ming: This play is adapted from the book The Corpse Whisperer, which is a milestone, or masterpiece, or a starting point for my own writing. This book brings together my years of work, including the cases that impressed me when I first entered the workplace, and the cases that impressed me after I joined the work.
Q：The Mind Reader of Forensic Medicine Qin Mingzhi is adapted from the first work of Forensic Medicine Qin Ming series. This year is just the tenth anniversary of the publication of this series. Can you share your original intention?
Qin Ming: Actually, The Corpse Whisperer was my first book. The original intention of this book was actually due to grievances. When I first joined the work, I felt that our forensic doctor had a high degree, mastered a lot of professional knowledge, was exposed to the death that everyone was taboo, and then faced with bloody and cruel scenes and stinking corpses, but took the salary of ordinary civil servants. Q：Forensic Qin Ming has so many Qin Ming in this IP, what do you think this character has changed? What is the same?
Qin Ming: Actually, there are many different ways to present the IP of forensic doctor Qin Ming. In fact, this is also caused by historical reasons. I think every team has their creative ideas. As long as they are serious ideas, we should all respect them. This is my opinion. If you want to talk about variables, I think there are many variables. The appearance, personality and way of doing things of the characters may be constantly changing, but the only constant is the value of the forensic doctor I just mentioned. He is a profession that speaks for the rights of the living and the dead. He is such a profession that guards the dignity of life and finally passes the barrier.
Therefore, I also hope that no matter what expression method is used, the profession of forensic medicine can be seen by more people. This is actually my original intention. But no matter which forensic doctor Qin Ming, Qin Ming in this play, he is not me, he is Qian Qian Wanwan, or can’t say Wanwan, because there are fewer of us, he is a collection of public security forensic doctors in our Republic, and he is a virtual figure that I put together with many forensic doctors shining.
Q：For you, will the real case you have experienced deviate greatly from the plot of the novel and the plot of the film and television? Which do you think will have a stronger impact on everyone?
Qin Ming: I think the biggest impact is the point that can best reflect the role of our forensic profession in solving criminal cases. The more you show it, the deeper your feelings for me will be.
Q：You have been insisting on the creation of forensic Qin Ming’s novel for many years. What do you want forensic Qin Ming to look like in the future? Has he changed in your novels over the years? What do you think you want to convey with the help of novels, but haven’t written it yet?
Qin Ming: Qin Ming in the series of "Forensic Qin Ming" novels is not myself, but a representative of a virtual forensic doctor. As a representative, I think he is growing up gradually in the novel. From his carelessness at first, he may gradually pay attention to details. From the beginning, he may make mistakes in judgment because of negligence, and gradually he can see through the truth. I think he should have made progress.
Q：Will students who are about to take the college entrance examination be encouraged to take the forensic examination?
Qin Ming: Actually, I don’t particularly advise others to study forensic medicine. Of course, I also welcome others to join the forensic team. What kind of thinking logic is this? In fact, the work of forensic medicine is very hard. What we see on TV may only be nine Niu Yi hairs. Maybe we see on TV that forensic medicine should contact such a body. It is hard to accept such a scene. Since I am a forensic doctor, I have to go to work, and I have to have a daily job. How can I have time to supervise the production, say what kind of producer it is, and do these things?
