Among the many characteristics of Chinese modernization, "people’s nature" is one of the most remarkable characteristics. The Party’s Report to the 20th CPC National Congress systematically explained the theoretical connotation of Chinese-style modernization, emphasizing that Chinese-style modernization is the common prosperity of all the people, and fully demonstrating the people-oriented characteristics contained in Chinese-style modernization.
Adhering to the people-centered development thought is an important principle to promote Chinese modernization. Popular support is the biggest politics. the Communist Party of China (CPC) led the people to fight and defend the country, and defended the people’s hearts. For a hundred years, the Communist Party of China (CPC) United and led the people in revolution, construction and reform, and always put the people in the highest position in their hearts. From "solving food and clothing" to "well-off life" to "common prosperity", from winning the biggest battle against poverty in human history and historically solving the problem of absolute poverty, Chinese modernization has always adhered to the people-centered development thought. Whether it is to improve the social security system, improve the distribution system, or implement the employment priority strategy, whether it is to promote the construction of a healthy China, a safe China and a beautiful China, or resolutely win the epidemic prevention and control war. In the final analysis, it is necessary to satisfy the people’s yearning for a better life and constantly consolidate the people’s sense of gain, happiness and security with tangible development achievements. Building a socialist modern country in an all-round way is a great and arduous undertaking. Report to the 20th CPC National Congress of the Party clearly emphasized that one of the major principles that must be firmly grasped on the road ahead is "adhering to the people-centered development thought". Adhering to the people-centered development thought and promoting Chinese modernization is an inevitable choice for upholding and developing Socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, building a modern socialist country in an all-round way and realizing the Chinese dream of great rejuvenation.On the new journey, if we want to win new victories in building a socialist modernized country in an all-round way, we must bear in mind that "the country is the people and the people are the country", unswervingly follow the people-centered road of Chinese modernization, and take sharing achievements for the people, relying on the people and the people as the fundamental purpose and action guide to realize Chinese modernization.
Realizing the common prosperity of all the people is an important feature and essential requirement of Chinese modernization. The Communist Party of China (CPC) has always regarded seeking happiness for the people of China and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation as his initial mission. Whether it is revolution, construction, reform and development, it is all for the people to live a happy life. Making people live a happy life is "the greatest power in the country", and achieving common prosperity is the essential requirement of Socialism with Chinese characteristics, and it is also a long-term historical process. Entering a new era, the Party takes people’s yearning for a better life as its goal. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we have experienced three major events of great practical significance and far-reaching historical significance to the cause of the Party and the people. History and practice have proved and will continue to prove that Socialism with Chinese characteristics Road is the broad road to common prosperity. Report to the 20th CPC National Congress of the Party regards the realization of people’s yearning for a better life as the starting point and the end result of modernization, and emphatically points out that "Chinese-style modernization is a socialist modernization led by the Communist Party of China (CPC), which has both the common characteristics of modernization in all countries and China characteristics based on its own national conditions." This highlights the socialist nature of Chinese-style modernization and summarizes its important features, namely, Chinese-style modernization is a modernization with a huge population, a modernization of common prosperity for all people, a modernization in which material civilization and spiritual civilization are coordinated, a modernization in which man and nature coexist harmoniously, and a modernization that takes the road of peaceful development.When explaining the essential requirements of Chinese modernization, the report once again stressed the need to "achieve common prosperity for all people." It can be seen that realizing the common prosperity of all the people is not only an important feature of Chinese modernization, but also the biggest feature of Chinese modernization, which occupies an important position in the overall situation of China’s modernization. In the new era and new journey, we must unswervingly implement the people-centered development thought, stand firm on the people’s stand, grasp the people’s wishes, take improving people’s well-being, promoting people’s all-round development and common prosperity as the starting point and the end result, take realizing people’s yearning for a better life as the value criterion and goal pursuit, and constantly promote "education for young children, learning to teach, earning from work, getting medical care, providing for the elderly, living in a proper place and being weak"
Giving full play to the creative power of hundreds of millions of people is the most powerful foundation for realizing Chinese modernization. Historical materialism holds that the masses of the people are the driving force and the real creators of history. The Communist Party of China (CPC)’s century-long struggle has fully proved that the people are the source of strength for China’s revolution, construction and reform, and the fundamental driving force for the Chinese nation to usher in a great leap from standing up, becoming rich and becoming strong. The people are the root of our party’s life, the foundation of governance and the source of strength. Today’s brilliant achievements in China, especially the great achievements in the new era, are neither falling from the sky, nor being given alms by others, but being made by the Party and the people together. The modernization in the new era has fully mobilized the people to participate in national strategies such as poverty alleviation, building a well-off society in an all-round way and implementing rural revitalization, which has injected strong impetus into the development of Chinese modernization. As long as we firmly stand on the right side of history, stand on the side of human civilization and progress, adhere to the people’s dominant position, trust the people, respect and inspire their initiative, and mobilize their enthusiasm to the maximum extent, we can fully tap the wealth of wisdom, unlimited creativity and unlimited strength of more than 1.4 billion people, which is a majestic force to promote Chinese modernization. Report to the 20th CPC National Congress of the Party pointed out that "to build a socialist modern country in an all-round way, we must give full play to the creative power of hundreds of millions of people."
