According to Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, during the period of 10: 00 pm to 11: 00 pm on the 27th, India "for no reason" violated the ceasefire agreement reached between India and Pakistan and fired at the residence of a retired teacher in Fatehpur village, Pakistan, killing three people and injuring two others.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Muhammad Faisal, director of Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry Office, summoned J.P. Singh, India’s Deputy High Commissioner, on the same day, strongly condemning the Indian army’s unprovoked firing in violation of the agreement.
Faisal also called on India to abide by the ceasefire agreement reached between India and Pakistan in 2003, and to devote itself to maintaining peace in Kashmir. He asked the Indian side to investigate the unprovoked firing by the Indian army on the 27th, and urged the Indian side to allow the United Nations military observer mission to coordinate the India-Pakistan conflict.
The statement also stated that India has violated the ceasefire agreement 600 times this year, resulting in 28 civilian deaths and 113 injuries. Last year, the Indian side also violated the ceasefire agreement 382 times and opened fire on the Palestinian side.
Recently, Indian and Pakistani troops have been fighting with each other in Kashmir. On 27th, three Pakistani militants attacked India’s police camp in Kashmir Valley, and fierce clashes broke out between the two sides. In the end, eight Indian policemen died and three Pakistani militants also died. This is the deadliest incident in India’s national security department since last September.
On August 25th, Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged fire in the area of RS Pura in Jammu Kashmir, and an Indian border guard soldier was injured. On August 22, the Indian army killed a Pakistani militant in a gun battle; On August 17, a gun battle broke out between Indian security forces and Pakistani militants near the line of control in Gules province in northern Kashmir. On August 11, an Indian policeman was injured in a gun battle with militants. In addition, the Indian army killed two militants. On 9 August, two gun battles took place in Kashmir, killing two militants and an Indian soldier.
Faced with this situation, Indian and Pakistani military commanders held talks on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir on August 23, and both sides agreed to establish a mechanism to maintain long-term peace on the border.
